I’m sure that by now you’ve seen this video somewhere on the internet. It’s a launch video done right – not to mention a breathtaking car. There is something magical about a 12-cylinder Ferrari that made it too cool not to share!

Spotted @ Crank and Piston. I’m not a Porsche guy, but you have to admit the car has an impressive history.

Might have caught this during the Daytona 500. Not a big fan of the front end on the GT, but have to say I do like the commercial!
Two friends have been featured recently over at Build-Threads.com. First up what Terry Fair, of Vorshlag Motorsports, with his GRM2010 E30 BMW.
A pretty cool car with a 5.3 LS series V8! The above picture will take you to the Bimmerforums thread, but Terry’s also got tons of pictures on his own gallery over here at SmugMug.
Just this morning I noticed Vitek Boruvka, of AxWare Systems ORM, got featured with his LS3 NC Miata build for SCCA’s XP Solo class! This is one wild machine.
Vitek’s got a detailed writeup over on his blog for the car, it’s well worth checking out!

This is awesome, 8,200 RPM with individual throttle bodies! Spotted over at StangTV. I’ve got to say the potential of this engine is pretty amazing and I like that people are seeing that natural aspiration is still cool. BTW, for those in CP, stay tuned to Fasttrack in the near future for a proposal for opening up the swap rules somewhat in CP!

I’m not going to pretend I love imports, but I’ve got to say that the new Scion/Toyota/Subaru conglomeration looks to be an absolute blast to drive. To be honest, I’m sure it’s a MUCH better handling car than a Fox-Body Mustang or a 3rd Gen Camaro, but something in its easy to drift manner, light weight, and modest HP seems to echo those cars in my mind.
I won’t be plunking down the $25k or so it’ll take to buy one of these, but I’d happily take a lap in one at the track or autocross circuit if I had the chance!
Side note – easily one of the better of Drive TV’s efforts to date.

Heck of a lot of work, but I’m overall pretty pleased with the end result! Still have a little work to do, but nothing major. (more…)
Originally spotted over at Autoblog, this is a neat video taken from the POV of one of the drivers in the Rolex 24 @ Daytona. Having competed in a 24hr “race” (ok several 24 hrs of Lemons events…), it’s cool to see the perspective. Although, the drivers are pampered at theses events, not having to fuel their own vehicles or change their own tires!

Finally, wasn’t easy but came up with an awesome layout for our Video4 data-logger. I did a short write-up on this since I’m sure I’m not the only one that was confused first time I opened this software up! (more…)
I thought this was a neat video, especially considering I’ve just brushed the tip of what we can do with our Video4 setup. If you haven’t checked out YouTube’s new “Drive” channel, it’s worth a glance. All original content, all focused on cars. They haven’t been fully polished yet in terms of the presenters, but they are getting better!
